What is a Chaos Coordinator?

A Chaos Coordinator is just as it suggests - someone who coordinates all the chaos! As a CC, you are responsible for leading Hot Mess missions. An affiliate might have a single CC leading missions or multiple, planning for different days of the week or areas within your area.

At Hot Mess Express, our primary focus is on empowering and supporting women, and we prioritize providing a safe and empowering experience for our volunteers and the women in our community.

Each Affiliate has the autonomy to decide whether they are comfortable approving men as volunteers and/or nominees. While we respect the autonomy of each Affiliate it is essential to prioritize the safety and comfort of the women we aim to assist. In situations where men are approved as volunteers, we ensure transparent communication with all participants. Every woman we help will be informed of the potential presence of male volunteers during our events or activities, allowing them to make informed decisions about their participation.

This commitment to open communication and respect for individual choices is fundamental to maintaining a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within our organization. We encourage an ongoing dialogue between volunteers and the women we assist, fostering an environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered to contribute to the collective well-being of our community.

Q:

What is HME's stance on transgender individuals volunteering within the women's volunteer group?

A:

Hot Mess Express was created with the intention of being an organization by women, for women. We recognize that gender is not a black and white concept, and we strive to be as inclusive as possible. Our primary focus is on ensuring the safety and comfort of the women we assist, and we are committed to prioritizing their well-being above all else. We believe in creating a supportive and empowering environment where all women feel welcome and valued. At our organization, we firmly believe in inclusivity and acceptance. We are committed to creating an environment where individuals can be their authentic selves without fear of exclusion. We encourage everyone to embrace their true identities and express themselves freely. When it comes to selecting missions and volunteers, we trust that each Affiliate will exercise their best judgment, considering the values of diversity, equality, and respect.
